Description Expression of Interest for Skills/Vocational Training in Six Model Villages of District Muzaffargarh Introduction The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) is a section 42, not-for-profit company financed by the Government of Punjab and Department for International Development, UK. PSDF is a funding organization which acts as a financier of skills development/vocational training projects and intends to stimulate the market for skills development for the poor and the vulnerable populations of four districts of Southern Punjab (Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Lodhran and Muzaffargarh). Following a competitive model, PSDF will invite proposals from training providers and assess these on the touchstones of relevance and quality. The Assignment The Punjab Skills Development Fund intends to finance skills development/vocational training projects promoting income generation opportunities of flood-affected population in 6 model villages of Tehsils Muzaffargarh and KotAddu, District Muzaffargarh. The model villages are Basti Meeran Mullah, Basti Khara NiaziWala, Rakh Jalwala, Bhulla Mouza Aalo Rid Gujrat, Khara Nawa and Rakh Ehsanpur. Expressions of interest are invited from NGOs, private training institutes, private firms etc having past experience of skills development/vocational training programmes. After initial short-listing, proposals will be invited from selected organisations for skills training of up to 500 poor and vulnerable people. The proposal should identify relevant vocational skills (of duration 4 -8 months) and their linkage with income generation, employment or self-employment opportunities and delivery methodology (including community mobilization & targeting approach). Eligibility Criteria for Expression of Interest . Proof of registration and tax payment . Audited Financial Statements for last 3 years . Acceptance of PSDF monitoring requirements . Undertaking of not being blacklisted by any Government or Semi- Government Organisation . Details of past experience and personnel . List of intended vocational training activities to be imparted. Deadline Interested organisations are requested to submit their Expression of Interest on the prescribed proforma to PSDF by 5 PM on May 21, 2011.
