Welcome to artisanconnect, a new website for the crafts community The International Trade Center (ITC) is pleased to announce the launch of a new web portal, artisanconnect.net, dedicated to supporting trade in crafts from developing countries. Artisanconnect provides organizations and individuals involved in supporting handicrafts and artisans around the world with information on markets, design and product development, materials and techniques, and projects. It also hosts a database of over 1500 organizations, glossaries, a database of events and useful links. Artisanconnect allows users to highlight or share their expertise and expand their network. You can contribute content to the site, discuss and comment on a particular document, find new contacts and partners. Any user involved in crafts development can register as an artisanconnect’s Member. The registered Member can hide his contact information or make his profile visible to other Members, and link his profile to organizations listed in the Directory. Some artisanconnect’s functionalities are only for the use of registered and logged-in Members (contributing to the site content, posting comments to a document, participating to discussions). For this reason you are invited to register by creating a personal account on the web site, enlarging artisanconnect’s community as well as your own network. Wishing you a productive visit to our site! Artisanconnect’sTeam.
This initiative has received financial support from the Center for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) - www.cbi.nl. |
